Native to South America, the Pampas Grass is considered one of the most striking ornamental grasses available, and it's easy to see why.

The towering feathery pink plumes of 'Rosea' are instantly recognisable and were once associated with wealth and luxury in times gone by - although this still retains a classy look and sophisticated feel even today.

Suitable for more-or-less any garden style, this hugely versatile grass works well as a single specimen, in groups or planting en masse to create dramatic backdrops or natural screens.

Whatever the scenario, these iconic grasses never fail to add texture and movement to a garden space.

Despite boasting willowy beauty, they really are tough as old boots and require very little care - perfect for gardeners of all abilities and even those with little time to spare! They remain evergreen in warm areas and turn tan in colour in colder temperatures.

For best impact on your garden, plant Pampas Grasses in either full sun or a slightly shaded spot, in dry to medium, well-drained soil. They can tolerate almost drought conditions and still look fabulous throughout the autumn and winter months.

Top Tips

Care Guide

• Grow in fertile, deep, well-drained soil in full sun if possible. 
• Cover with a deep dry mulch to protect plants from frost in their first winter.
• Choose your planting position carefully - Pampas Grass require plenty of space due to their size and sharp leaf edges.
• Cut and comb out the flower stems of last year's display, as well as dead leaves in late winter or early spring. Remember to wear gloves as protection from the sharp leaf edges.

Our experienced team at the nursery will always carefully package and send your plants nursery fresh in the perfect condition to thrive once you receive and plant them. Although most plants are extremely tough and will not be affected by all but the most extreme of weather conditions, we always avoid dispatching the most perishable plants if extreme frosts or heat is forecast. We also avoid dispatching orders over Bank Holiday weekends.

Please allow us 7 - 10 working days to dispatch your order. If you have ordered a 'pre-order' item, these will be sent out as soon as possible after the quoted dispatch date and we generally ship your entire order with any pre-ordered items. Once your order has been dispatched, we will send you an email with details on how you can track it.

We send most of our orders via a fully tracked courier service with Yodel. We will send you a tracking link as soon as your order has been dispatched. To avoid perishable items being stuck at depots and deteriorating, we will not require a signature on delivery, and we ask out couriers to leave your item in a safe place ad your delivery address.
